Quality Management System

According to LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard, there is established and accredited Quality Management System in National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute. Quality Management System ensures that the methods of the tests performed in the Institute meet the requirements of the European Union. The accreditation was performed by German accreditation service DAkkS. Additionally, the Institute is accredited by FGUZ “Federal center of hygiene and epidemiology” and GOST R in the Russian Federation.

In 2007 the Institute was licensed to use the International Laboratory Accreditation Association Label - ILAC. This means that the test results are world recognized. The Maintenance of Quality Management System is controlled by internal quality audits. German Accreditation Service DAkkS does the annual supervising visit (external audit) in the Institute.

Each year the competence of the Institute's and the qualification of the Laboratory personnel are checked by participating in proficiency testing and interlaboratory comparison testing. Besides, trainings are organized to support and improve the competence of the Institute’s personnel, taking into account the employees’ needs and the new challenges of the Institute.
