Every year new test methods are elaborated and accredited in the Chemistry Section. Qualified specialists ensure high quality, reliable and precise test results due to the existing modern and expensive testing equipment providing for execution of various complex tests. The laboratory is equipped with gas chromatographs, gas chromatographs with mass spectrometers, liquid chromatographs with mass spectrometers, the mass spectrometer of the inductively coupled plasma, gas chromatograph with high resolution the mass spectrometric system, and other devices. The Chemistry section is unique among other Lithuanian laboratories for its technical equipment, the range of research and complexity.

In order to improve and modernise the research and to accelerate its performance, employees of the department are constantly observing world news in the sphere of chemical processes and research. Young and ambitious people hope to further remain among the leaders of the Lithuanian chemical analytical laboratories. The section is permanently supplemented with complex equipment and devices, and develops new types of research. Each year experts of the German Accreditation Service and auditors from Russia carry out and positively evaluate the department‘s activity.
