The Quality Management Unit (hereinafter referred to as “the Unit”) manages, develops and updates the quality management system in order to ensure effectiveness of institute activities. The Quality management system implemented in the Laboratory Department of the Institute ensures objectivity and reliability of investigations. Institute laboratories are accredited in accordance with LST EN ISO 17025 standard requirements by the German Accreditation Office and in accordance with GOST R standard requirements by the Federal Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Federal Service for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Well being. The Laboratory Department of the Institute is allowed to use of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) mark. The Quality Management System is continuously updated in view of new national and international standards, EU standard documents and science achievements in methodical and technical fields.
